About PDF Editor

The PDF Editor lets you add text directly onto any page of a PDF document without installing Adobe Acrobat or any other software. It works entirely in your browser — upload, edit, download.

How it works: Text is drawn directly into the PDF content stream at the coordinates you specify. The result is a standard PDF where the added text is a permanent, printable part of the document — it appears in all viewers including Adobe Reader, Preview, and Chrome's built-in PDF viewer.

Position coordinates: X is the distance from the left edge of the page and Y is the distance from the top of the page, both in points (1 point = 1/72 inch). For an A4 page (595 × 842 points), a position of X=50, Y=100 places text near the top-left. Experiment with values and re-download to find the exact position you need.

Can I edit existing text in a PDF?
This tool adds new text overlays to a PDF page. Editing existing text requires the original source document (Word, InDesign, etc.) since PDF text is not directly editable once rendered.
How do I position the text exactly where I want?
Use the X and Y coordinate fields. X is the distance from the left edge and Y from the top of the page, in points. An A4 page is 595 × 842 points. Try different values and re-download to fine-tune.
What font is used?
Text is added using Helvetica, a standard PDF font that is embedded in all PDF viewers and renders consistently across platforms.
