About PowerPoint to PDF

Sharing a PowerPoint file can go wrong — fonts may be missing on the recipient's computer, animations can freeze, and slide dimensions may shift. Converting your presentation to PDF with our PowerPoint to PDF tool eliminates these issues by locking every slide exactly as you designed it.

Each slide in your .ppt or .pptx file is rendered to its own PDF page at the native slide dimensions (typically 16:9 widescreen or 4:3 standard). Text, SmartArt, shapes, images, and charts all appear as in the original. Slide transition animations are not included (PDF does not support them), but speaker notes can be embedded as PDF annotations in supported configurations.

When PowerPoint to PDF is the right choice:

  • Sending a presentation to a client who does not have PowerPoint installed
  • Uploading slides to a conference submission system that requires PDF
  • Archiving a version of a presentation before making further changes
  • Embedding presentation slides on a web page using a PDF viewer
  • Printing handouts with multiple slides per page

Both .ppt (PowerPoint 97–2003) and .pptx (Office Open XML) formats are accepted. Files created in Google Slides can be downloaded as .pptx and then converted here.

If you later need to edit the slides in the PDF, our PDF to PowerPoint converter can help you extract the slides back into an editable format. For large presentations, Compress PDF can reduce the resulting file size before email distribution.

Privacy and cost: Files are encrypted in transit, processed on isolated servers, and deleted within one hour. The tool is 100% free with no account needed.
